Healthy White Sonicare Reviews

Home oral healthcare has advanced significantly in the last decade with the Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite system as the prime example. Possibly no other electric rechargeable tooth brush is as advanced as this system. It utilizes the patented sonicare cleaning action to provide brush bristles and cleaning fluids the velocity they need for powerful cleaning. No other electric tooth brush can remove plaque and food particles between teeth and under the gum lines as this system does. Let us take a closer look at the Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite cleaning system.

Not only does the HealthyWhite model provide super teeth cleaning, it is especially designed to give you whiter looking teeth as well. It can provide you a means to remove some of the most common food stains from tea, fruit juice, and coffee. It can restore the natural whiteness of your teeth and give you the confidence to smile again. In as little as two weeks Philips guarantees that your teeth will be up to two shades whiter. What is impressive is that this system does not need to do this by using harsh chemicals or additives.

First off this the HealthyWhite is a powerful teethe cleaner. It utilizes the sonic technology that Philips made famous over twenty years ago. It will effectively remove plaque on the surface of your teeth, between teeth, and below the gums. It gives you two different routines to follow that help keep you on track while brushing. The Smartimer is a system that uses a built in two minute timer to keep you using a disciplined total brushing time. Using this timer will keep you from over brushing and damaging your teeth and gums. There is also a built in Quadrapacer that helps you keep your rhythm while brushing, so you can effectively brush all four quadrants of your mouth.

The HealthyWhite will help you achieve whiter looking teeth in as little as two weeks, and it uses two modes to do this. You first start off with the clean mode, which utilizes that standard sonicare cleaning technology to give you healthy teeth and gums. Then you utilize the clean and white mode to ensure that your teeth turn out as white as they possibly can be. This second mode uses and additional thirty seconds of time to focus the cleaning on the front part of your teeth that are most visible when you smile. Overall these two modes, when used in sequence, give you a superior cleaning and whitening tooth brushing system.

The brushing heads on the HealthyWhite system utilize the ProResults design made famous by sonicare. The bristles are contoured so they are gentle on gums and will not irritate them or make them bleed. These bristles are so safe that they can be used on any orthodontics, including braces, implants, and even veneers. The bristles are manufactured with a precise diamond grinding process that gives the smoothest finish possible.

Inside the box you will see the HealthyWhite sonicare tooth brush, the ProResults brush head, and brush head storage container, a travel charging system, and a clean travel cap for the brushes. This unit is thirty percent smaller than their other systems, and is made to travel wherever you are going. The Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite rechargeable electric tooth brush retails for around one hundred dollars not including tax and shipping.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
Why do my teeth seem to "change colors" after brushing and at various times of the day?
This is an odd question and others are going to wonder, "What? How do they do that?"

The scenario: I brush at least two times per day, floss at least once per day (at night before bed) and use a mouthwash called Biotene PBF. My gums and teeth are healthy, and I had a full dental inspection about a week or so ago where they put a camera in my mouth and looked all around. No problems. Now, everyone's teeth get a little yellowish due to foods, etc. that they eat while at work during the day. I don't bring a toothbrush to work...I brush with Sensodyne Pronamel toothpaste, which helps build up my teeth enamel and protect them from acids and such afterwards. I come home from work, I have to brush my teeth, floss and use mouthwash. I'm picky about my teeth...I use one of the best Sonicare toothbrushes there are. To get all of my teeth from every angle, it takes me about 10 minutes of brushing (gently, not tearing the gums apart). My teeth are a sparkling white color as soon as I'm doing brushing. Then, after a few minutes, they appear to turn a slight yellowish color. Yet in the morning...when I wake up, they will be a sparkling white color with no visible yellowish color that I saw the night before. I do not understand this, and others don't seem to get it, either. What is this color issue with my teeth? Why is it 'yellow' looking sometimes after brushing, and yet 'white' and super clean looking even an hour or two later...or even the next morning?

    • ANSWER:
Tooth colour is very dynamic and can change in different lighting (outdoor vs. indoor for example) and hydration states. If you are sleeping and breathing through your mouth, your teeth will be whiter because they are actually dehydrated. Once you carry on with your day and the saliva is able to re-hydrate your tooth enamel, the colour will change to a more yellow shade.

I see this all the time with patients after doing a filling. The teeth that are covered by the rubber dam will be much yellower than the teeth that are exposed during the procedure. The colour change does not have much to do with being clean or dirty so to speak (unless you had major plaque build-up which you would not considering how you look after your teeth). Hope that helps!

  2. QUESTION:
What can I do about my bad breath?
    I haven't consulted my dentist/a specialist yet.

I've always had trouble with bad breath, even though my teeth are in great shape/pearly white.

I'm sure there are multiple factors contributing to my problem, but some of these are inevitable. I eat pretty healthy/well balanced, but because my job hours change, my sleeping and eating habits are irregular. I try not to let too much time go by after waking up before eating.

I think one of my biggest factors is not drinking enough water. This can cause constipation(happens more in tune with late sleep hours). But there are times when I drink extra water before a social event, and I still see subtle gestures/fingers brought to noses after I talk. This is after brushing my teeth, using mouthwash, flossing, etc. beforehand.

I'm not sure what kind of "funk" it is. There's a certain kind of smell when someone is dehydrated, but it must be something else if I'll drink 3-4 glasses of water and it doesn't really go away. How long does it take for water consumption alone to ease bad breath? I've heard people say "Did someone fart? It smells like sh...t" or "There's definately a sulfur like smell in here." This doesn't sound like a normal dehydrated bad breath smell/describing an odor of tooth decay, comments like this indicate that it actually smells of sh...t. But this can happen even when I had good bowel movements earlier that day.

I use a sonicare electronic toothbrush twice a day with colgate total toothpaste, I have therabreath toothpaste I switch it up to on occasion, I use alcohol-free mouthwash (biotene and crest), I constantly use listerine strips in social/work settings, I brush/scrape my tongue, I floss maybe 2-4 times a week. I feel like I go beyond average.

I'm pretty puzzled as to how to fix things. I know I need to drink more water more often, but otherwise I don't think most people have to make such an effort.

    Any advice? Much appreciated

Will probably be the pros and cons to weigh. For me, my Sonicare toothbrush finest work in my teeth of a manual toothbrush I ever used. I got my Sonicare toothbrush for almost two years now, and is in daily use. Not available manual toothbrushes for me!

My teeth are cleaner and whiter. I even got rid of at last one point Brown had one of my teeth.

These brush heads are expensive and I recommend them every three months. I love the idea of a set of 5 from 3 package, which was available, so you have enough for at least one each time you buy.

I saw only five of the pack at Costco for about $ 39, so I bought a 5-pack, as I brush past my head. It's nice to see that Amazon is now applied, as Amazon was where I shopped my pack of three. Free shipping is also, like Costco, I pay taxes that CA is also high.

For me, I think it's worth paying the price for this brush. Alittle pricey, but worth it!

Face it, as we age, our teeth become worn and dull. One way to limit the dull look is to take control and develop a consistent oral hygene regimen. This effort should include brushing your teeth regularly with a quality, soft bristle toothbrush and the use of dental floss. Nothing else can do more for your overall outlook than a healthy and clean mouth.

Over time and through use, we wear down the protective enamel or outer coating of our teeth. Like almost anything else that ages, this leads to a worn and less then beautiful smile. Unfortunately, this wearing away of the enamel also creates small ridges where food and beverages act to discolor your teeth.

You can decrease your chances of having tooth decay by cleaning your teeth on a regular basis. Chronic gingivitis (bleeding gum disease) will heal as long as you are able to keep plaque under control. For some adults however, the buildup and retention of plaque is much more of a problem. For some reason, plaque seems to adhere much better to their teeth and builds up quickly even if brushing and flossing regularly. .

Your daily diet is one of the numerous contributing factors to plaque, and also the consistency of your diet. Good oral care demands a proper brushing of your teeth at least twice and preferably three times a day. Of course, dental care professionals have recommended brushing after every meal or snack.

It's also important to remember to brush properly in order to remove plaque. The elderly and children often need to use utensils other than a simple toothbrush to do this. Plaque cannot be "prevented" necessarily; but it can be "controlled" by simply brushing correctly and brushing often. If you have a constant bad build up of plaque, you should probably consider one of the more popular sonic type toothbrushes. These do a great job at controlling plaque build up though are quite a bit more expensive than a regular toothbrush.

You should know that when there are a variety of home oral care tools to choose from these days. Sometimes people having hand eye coordination difficulties may benefit from a simple electric toothbrush. These handly gizmos are also great for older folks who might have problems with holding their hand up to use a regular toothbrush. Kids are another group that an electric toothbrush might help to get the job of oral hygeine done correctly in the least amount of time. Remember that there are a variety of tools that are used to clean hard to reach areas: dental floss that come in a variety of types like waxed, non-waxed, flat, round and textured, with baking soda, with fluoride and flavored. There's also dental floss holders. These items can be found at drug stores, grocery stores or through medical supply stores.

There are many benefits to brushing and flossing your teeth. First and foremost, you can help prevent tooth decay by this practice. Brushing and flossing also prevent gum disease, which is a primary agent in decaying and lost teeth.

So now you see that dental cleaning is not only a practice in the dental office, but also at home in your own bathroom. Good oral care helps contribute to your overall health by promoting upkeep and maintenance. A good Tooth brushing and use of a quality floss will keep dental plaque and other debris from becoming stuck between and on your teeth.

Healthy White Sonicare

After the Oral B Electric Toothbrush company started gaining a very wide lead in terms of popularity, recommendations, and functionality over the Sonicare power toothbrush company, Sonicare decided to release it's best oral care system to date.

By releasing the Sonicare 9500, probably the most customizable toothbrush available, Sonicare has brought back the attention of many of its users who switched over to Oral B.

The Oral B Professional Care 5000 just solidified the company's dedication to providing some of the best oral care devices available. With it's added feature, the Deep Clean mode, on top of all of the other features the Oral B PC 5000 borrowed from the 9900 (the previous best brush available on the market), this electric toothbrush put itself on the top of the list of best available toothbrushes according to Electric Toothbrush Ratings.

Which one is better - Oral B 5000 or Sonicare 9500?

In my own personal opinion, the overall advantage has to go to the Oral B 5000. While the Sonicare 9500 is in fact a sonic toothbrush creating a dynamic cleaning fluid action, I feel that the pulsations and oscillations that the Oral B toothbrush offers makes it more like a dentist tool, which is far superior to any brush. It's 5 modes of cleaning along with the smart care features are all added pluses to this electric toothbrush.

However, the lead that the Oral B 5000 has over the Sonicare 9500 isn't by a wide margin. If you are looking for a fully customizable toothbrush or have highly sensitive gums, the Sonicare Elite e9500 might just be for you.

Regardless of which toothbrush you purchase, you'll be buying a great toothbrush. It's like the difference between a Ferrari and a Lamborghini, both are great cars, it just becomes a matter of taste. In this case, my personal taste and opinion lean towards the Oral B 5000 over the Sonicare 9500.
